Psymark Test Instructions

Thank you for using the Psymark App. Here are brief instructions for setting up the App.

The App may be downloaded on all iPads running iOS 16 or newer, except for iPad Mini.

SETTING UP THE APP ON YOUR iPAD

NOTE: Your iPad needs to be connected to Wi-Fi prior to installation and testing

  1. Link your email to your iPad (if not currently linked to receive email on your iPad)

  2. When first logging into the App, it may ask for a login password.

  3. Input ANY character and press login (or submit)

COMPLETING THE EXAMINER PROFILE

  1. Complete your name and email address.

  2. Indicate your profession and location.

  3. Complete all required information as indicated by an asterisk *

  4. You must certify that you are authorized to administer the test.

  5. Examinee Information:  Please complete as much information as possible.  The required information is indicated by an asterisk * 

COMPLETING THE NEW EXAMINEE INFORMATION

  1. Complete the Examinee’s Name. Examinee’s Name should be a nickname for your personal use. It does not have to be a name. Any unique identifier will work, as long as you know what it means.

  2. Enter all Demographic Information. Please complete as much information as possible. 

  3. Once all Demographic information is complete, press the Save button. This will take you to the Examinee’s test.

     

TEST ADMINISTRATION

PLEASE NOTE:

  1. An examinee can use either his/her finger or the stylus to complete the test.

  2. Administer test on a non-slippery surface, or use a non-slippery iPad cover to prevent unintended movement of the iPad during test administration.

    Examiner Instructions to Examinee: (*Please see below for the instructions translated into Spanish, French, Mandarin, Armenian and Vietnamese.)

    ● When the first shape appears, point to the stimulus shape above the line and say (or demonstrate as appropriate, you can model if appropriate for examinee to understand that he/she needs to copy the displayed shapes in the space below):

    “See this shape/letter/number (point). Please copy this same shape/letter/number using your finger (or stylus, if offered) as best you can below this line. (Now point to the blank space below the line to indicate where the shape should be copied.) Try to copy it exactly as you see it. This is not a timed test, so take your time. When you are finished, press the ‘next’ button (or say “I will press next”) and begin to copy the next shape/letter/number.”

    ● You can repeat the instructions for items “1” and “2” as needed.

    ● When the examinee has completed the last item, a page will appear with a checkmark stating “Test Complete!” You will also be asked to indicate whether the examinee used a stylus or his or her finger. A notes area will also be provided should you wish to write a note about the test administration. For example, you may wish to describe the examinee’s behavior during the test, or the position in which he or she took the test (i.e. on a table/ desk with the iPad directly in front of the examinee, rotated, on his/her lap, standing up, etc.).

    ● Press “Save Test.” Once you press “Save Test,” you will be prompted to enter your PIN in order to view the scored results. Providing your PIN provides an additional layer of security and confidentiality which ensures the test results are only accessible to you as the qualified examiner.

  3. *Instructions in 🇪🇸 Spanish

    “¿Ves esta figura/letra/número? Por favor copia esta misma figura/letra/número usando tu dedo (o un lápiz óptico, si se ofrece) lo mejor que puedas debajo de esta línea. Intenta copiarlo exactamente como lo ves. Esta no es una prueba cronometrada, así que tómate tu tiempo. Cuando termines, presiona el botón ‘siguiente’ (o di ‘Voy a presionar siguiente’) y comienza a copiar la siguiente figura/letra/número.”

  4. *Instructions in 🇫🇷 French

    “Tu vois cette forme/cette lettre/ce chiffre ? Merci de copier cette même forme/lettre/chiffre avec ton doigt (ou un stylet, si proposé) du mieux que tu peux sous cette ligne. Essaie de la copier exactement comme tu la vois. Ce test n’est pas chronométré, donc prends ton temps. Quand tu as fini, appuie sur le bouton ‘suivant’ (ou dis ‘Je vais appuyer sur suivant’) et commence à copier la forme/lettre/chiffre suivante.”

  5. *Instructions in 🇨🇳 Mandarin (Simplified Chinese)

    “你看到这个图形/字母/数字了吗？请在这条线下面，用你的手指（或触控笔，如果提供的话）尽可能准确地临摹这个图形/字母/数字。尽量按照你看到的样子来画。这不是计时测试，所以请慢慢来。完成后，按‘下一步’按钮（或说‘我要按下一步’），然后开始临摹下一个图形/字母/数字。”

  6. *Instructions in 🇦🇲 Armenian (Eastern Armenian)

    «Տեսնու՞մ ես այս ձևը/տառը/թիվը։ Խնդրում եմ՝ այս նույն ձևը/տառը/թիվը պատճենիր այս գծի տակ՝ որքան հնարավոր է լավ, օգտագործելով քո մատը (կամ ստիլուսը, եթե տրված է)։ Փորձիր այն պատճենել հենց այնպես, ինչպես տեսնում ես։ Սա ժամանակաչափով փորձ չէ, այնպես որ՝ մի շտապիր։ Երբ ավարտես, սեղմիր ‘հաջորդ’ կոճակը (կամ ասա՝ «Ես կսեղմեմ հաջորդը») և անցիր հաջորդ ձևը/տառը/թիվը պատճենելուն»

  7. *Instructions in 🇻🇳 Vietnamese

    “Bạn có thấy hình/dạng/chữ số này không? Hãy sao chép lại chính hình/dạng/chữ số này bằng ngón tay của bạn (hoặc bút cảm ứng, nếu có) ở phía dưới đường này, cố gắng làm thật giống như bạn nhìn thấy. Đây không phải là bài kiểm tra tính giờ, vì vậy hãy làm từ từ. Khi bạn hoàn thành, hãy nhấn nút ‘tiếp theo’ (hoặc nói ‘Tôi sẽ nhấn tiếp theo’) và bắt đầu sao chép hình/dạng/chữ số tiếp theo.”
